Tom Werring is a Creator Partnerships Associate at Patreon, a membership and community platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. Through a highly collaborative approach, he has partnered with hundreds of podcasters, musicians, video creators, and visual artists in developing and launching their own independent membership businesses.
Prior to his work at Patreon, Tom supported educational program development at Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. Working with music educators from around the world, he developed shared instructional resources, produced in-person and virtual workshops and events, and established granting and professional development programs for non-profit arts organizations. Tom is also an active touring and recording musician. For over a decade, he has co-written and produced three full-length albums, performing across the United States.
Tom graduated from New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development with a degree in Music Education in 2015, and was named a fellow in NYU Wagner’s Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service in 2019. Tom lives in Brooklyn with his partner, Tayler, and his dog, Benny.
