Miriam has copyright, metadata and sync licensing-focused experience working at two major labels (UMG and Sony Music), a DSP (Spotify), in mechanical royalties (The MLC), a music tech firm (Water & Music) and a music app (Muso.AI). Her experiences have reinforced the value of good metadata, the importance of copyright and protecting human creators, especially in the wake of AI. With more than 10 years of sync licensing, business affairs and project management experience across entertainment sectors (music, film, television, tech and labor unions), Miriam has first-hand knowledge of how the industry collaborates. Currently, she works in Matching Support at The MLC and as a Researcher at Water & Music.
